The problem was with the ADSL modem - instead of plugging the router through the original ETH1 socket I should have to plug it into ETH2.

Chilespur Network Guru Member I have been battling for the past couple of days to get my WRT54G v5 router to connect directly to the internet. When I click connect, it says it cant't find the server.
